QBQ 7 - NOT ALL JUDGMENTS ARE TRUE!

Life has taught me that most times, people react and judge you based on their level of understanding. Its no use dwelling on it if it hurts…just move on and focus on the 'truth' that you know and believe in. I just recalled one funny day at my office. We had some plumbing issues and had to shut down water supply for a while to allow the plumbers work. The janitors had taken their time to go round and inform people that they should refrain from using the toilets as they won’t be available for that period. Each time I need to have a quiet time or to say a little prayer, I usually go to the rest rooms. So there I was having my ‘ME’ time, I think I spent about 30 minutes thereabout. As I unlocked the door to leave, I saw one of the janitors standing on the other side. She had this huge frown on her face, I could tell she had been standing there waiting for me to come out and she was really upset. ‘ I thought we already informed everyone not to use the toilets, why are you using the toilet, you are now making things difficult for us…we have to start thinking of how to flush and clean it up…’ she went on and on. I tried to explain to her that I didn’t actually ‘use’ the toilet, but she wouldn’t have that. Well, after going back and forth for a while, she finally went in to have a look for herself. That was when she believed me. Here’s the funny part, initially I was upset at her reaction, but I later on said to myself, ‘she is only reacting based on her understanding.’ Probably to her, toilets are used for just one thing- to the the number 1 & 2. But to me, it’s also a perfect place for a quiet time. And that was how this quote came about. #smiles
